3D modelling, scene composition and graphic illustration
Art Deco-inspired prints combining 3D modelling with graphic illustration, created at Matmi to celebrate the architecture and history of Macclesfield.
BRIEF
Create artwork for the office walls that pays homage to classic railway posters while giving local landmarks a contemporary treatment.
MY CONTRIBUTION
I photographed the locations and researched their history, then built the 3D models and composed the scenes. I combined the renders with illustration in Photoshop and Illustrator to develop the final artwork.
FINAL OUTPUT
The designs were produced as giclée prints using a specialist 12-colour printer. QR codes connected the finished prints to behind-the-scenes material showing how the artwork was made.
